Privacy Policy

Tradee ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it. It is written to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988.
1. What we collect
When you use Tradee, we collect:
- Account information: your name, email, phone number, business name, trade type, and password (hashed).
- Business data: customer records, quotes, invoices, jobs, rate cards, and marketing campaigns you create.
- Call data: recordings, transcripts, caller phone numbers, and call metadata (duration, time) for calls handled by your AI receptionist.
- Payment information: billing address and card details (processed and stored by Stripe — we never see your full card number).
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, error logs. We use privacy-friendly analytics (Plausible) that does not track individuals across sites.
2. How we use it
- To deliver the Tradee service — answer calls, send SMS, process payments
- To send structured lead details to your phone
- To improve the product and fix bugs
- To respond to your support requests
- To send essential service emails (billing receipts, password resets, security alerts). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
3. Third parties we share data with
We use these third-party services to deliver Tradee. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Supabase — database and authentication (US/AU regions)
- Twilio — phone numbers, SMS, call recording (US/AU)
- Stripe — payment processing (US/AU)
- Anthropic — Claude AI for transcribing and extracting lead data (US)
- Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure (global)
- Resend — transactional email delivery (US/EU)
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with marketers, data brokers, or AI training datasets.
4. Call recording
When Tradee answers a call, the caller is notified that the call is being recorded and given the option to hang up. Recordings and transcripts are stored securely and only used to deliver the service to you. You can delete any call record from your dashboard at any time.
5. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain it for 30 days in case you reactivate, then permanently delete it. You can request immediate deletion by emailing andrew@tradee.io.
6. Your rights
Under Australian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

7. Security
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. We use best-practice authentication, least-privilege database access, and audit logs.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies for login and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email.
